제28회 관념미학어워드 수상작 발표
Maarten brinkman작가는 밧줄을 활용하여 허공에 돌을 지탱하는 참신한 “표현방식"을 바탕으로 "상"에 해당하는 "관념미"를 드러내었기에 제 28회 관념미학어워드 수상작가로 선정되었다.작품의 구성을보면 밧줄은 여러개의 돌과 유기적으로 연결되어있으며 바닥에 놓여진 상대적으로 작은 크기의 돌이 전체적으로는 지지대 역할을 하는것처럼 전시되고있고 큰 돌은 전시장 벽에 고정된 밧줄들의 교차와 매듭으로써 안정감있게 허공에 설치되어 있다. 조형적 손길이 가급적 배제된 익명성을 바탕으로 돌과 밧줄의 상호 만남이 공간에 새로운 질서와 낯선 긴장을 조성하여 감상자로 하여금 조형에대한 작가의 참신한 시선을 음미할수있게되는 사유의 계기를 제공해주고있다고 볼수있을것이다.

Gwannyummihak Award evaluates artworks with supporting originality against mannerism. The evaluation standard of this award depends on Gwannyummihak which Kim Jung Hwi created. Gwannyummihak is his original theory on contemporary art.
Artist Maarten brinkman has shown the original formative idea on “the way of expression” by using ropes to put a huge stone in the air which contributes to achieve high level of “Gwannyummi”. In the composition, Ropes connected to stones organically with some relatively smaller stones arranged on the floor to be seen as acting like the support are fixed on the wall to show cross linking and knot for stable installation of the stone. The meeting between rope and stone with anonymous approach to formative arouses kind of tension and unfamiliar atmosphere which induces viewer to have a chance to think about unique formative idea in this artwork.
